Natural Reserve Isla Juan Venado

Juan Venado´s Island which is closer to Leon (Nicaragua´s city, absolutely lovely) is a natural reserve that I would recomend to visit.

Its natural beach, its tranquil river, its exotic mangrove plants and its peculiar animals are unforgetable.

Also, your visit can be a community help. There are people preparated to show the island, for example: Club de Jóvenes ambientalistas (Young Environmentalists Club)

When you get to the island, go to the Comanejo house where advise you about your visit to the Island.
You can arrive by bus. It must be catch in Sutiava´s bus station. There are buses since 5.00 a.m. until 6 p.m. It costs 10 C$.
And you can eat and sleep in Las Peñitas (small village near the island). There are some hostels and small food shops.

Everybody must take care enviroment becouse the world is our house and it is unique.

Now you can participate in the proyect for the release of the turtles. It will be an incredible experience!
